  • Dear Sue, I wanted to write and thank you for my son's recent art class. As a preschooler, he was very enthusiastic about "doing art" but he seemed to lose that in kindergarten art class. I'm glad to see you were able to reinfuse that love of creativity with your class. I was very impressed by the results I saw him bring home, and how he described what he used (and also his newly gained knowledge of art materials and how they produce different results).

His work was so much more creative and freer than what he produced at school. I'm glad he thinks art is fun again. Thank you for an enjoyable experience for my son.

  • Each year, the Mark Twain Library has a summer reading program for children entering kindergarten through fifth grade. Our theme for this summer is "Be Creative @ the Library".

A belated thank you for your wonderful workshop on creating art from old books. The children who participated had a great time working with all the materials you brought. It was a kick to see the different ways in which they pursued their projects; they were clearly having lots of fun!

Thanks again for your willingness to lead one of our "Art Adventures" this summer. Your support of the library is much appreciated.

    Sincerely,

Mary Hoskinson-Dean, Children's and Teen Librarian

  • Georgetown School of Arts is a wonderful art center for our area. Susan Jackson is a talented, passionate professional who takes the time to teach her craft to the community. I have been taking weaving classes for over a year and her humor, compassion and generosity make the school a place that I am excited to visit every week. Thank you for providing a place to explore my creative side and bring out the best in all I do. 5 stars!!
