Each year, the Mark Twain Library has a summer reading program for children entering kindergarten through fifth grade. Our theme for this summer is "Be Creative @ the Library".

A belated thank you for your wonderful workshop on creating art from old books. The children who participated had a great time working with all the materials you brought. It was a kick to see the different ways in which they pursued their projects; they were clearly having lots of fun!

Susan, I will always remember art classes after school with you and the summer lessons I took at your studio. Thank you so much for guiding me and motivating me as a young artist. Your encouragement has helped me to find my passion and for that I am very grateful. Susan is wonderful! I’ve taken two semesters of weaving loom classes with her at her studio. She truly is gifted at her craft. She individualizes her instruction for each student, is kind, patient, dedicated, and very organized.  She even let me borrow the loom for an additional time period and gave me two mini lessons at no extra charge, when I missed several scheduled classes in a row. I’ll definitely be coming back!!! 5 stars
